About Clive Lloyd:
Clive Lloyd is a name to reckon with in the Cricketing and the sporting world and he is the first West Indian player to earn 100 international caps. Lloyd led the West Indies Team in three World Cups, winning in 1975 (with Lloyd scoring a hundred) and 1979 while losing the 1983 final to India- Tells Hirav Shah, Renowned Business Enhancement Expert.
Clive Lloyd’s Life:
Lloyd left school at age 14 to support his family. He worked in the capacity of a hospital clerk before becoming a cricketer. He made his debut in Tests for the West Indies in 1966 and went on to become one of the longest-serving players and captains in Test match history. Lloyd also played county cricket in England, like many West Indian cricketers.
Lloyd could drive and hook the ball with tremendous power despite being a tall, hulking left-handed batsman who wore thick glasses and wielded an unusually heavy bat.
In a prolific test career of 110 matches, his average was nearly 47 runs per innings. He had scored 19 centuries and had an individual high of 242 runs in one stand. He was also a crafty medium-pace bowler and an extraordinary fielder.

2 Inspiring lessons from Clive Lloyd:
1.Leadership
Aside from his outstanding batting skills he also had impeccable leadership qualities. It was under his captaincy and great leadership that the West Indies team dominated cricket for over a decade in the 1970s and 1980s.
2. Mastermind
Clive Lloyd was the mastermind behind West Indies’s domination of world cricket. He was the Supercat who perfected the West Indian system of world domination through relentless pace bowling.
Clive Lloyd’s Legacy:
Clive Lloyd’s legendary captaincy stands out in the record books and the world is aware of it. But his biggest success is not in statistics. Yes…
It lies in binding together the 15 Nations spread across 21,000 square kilometres in the Caribbean. These Nations which form the West Indies team are hardly united as they have differences of culture.
And this is where Lloyd’s legacy lies. He united the West Indies and gave them a cumulative recognition.
From 2001 to 2006, he was an ICC match referee. Lloyd was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame, in 2009. He was knighted in the 2020 New Year Honours for services to the game.
As Lloyd’s men brought the cricketing world to their knees, the Caribbean nations with a history of slavery, poverty, and low-self-esteem had screamed with joy.
I am sure the world of Cricket would have learned a lot from Lloyd, like how to be a rock solid leader and still remain calm and composed-Concludes Renowned Business Transformation Leader Hirav Shah.
